University computer labs

All stages of MSCI courses involve the use of computer software. All students are expected to have basic computer skills. It is advantageous to learn how to use a computer before beginning MSCI courses.

All stages of MGMT courses involve written assignments. It is customary to use word processors. It is advantageous to learn basic computer skills before beginning MGMT courses.

Your Canterbury Card allows access to buildings housing computer labs.

Student computers are available 24 hours per day at some University sites.

Check the Information and Communication Technology Services website for maps to locate the Crypts (PC), the MacLab or the Loft (PC & Macs).

Vaults at Level 0 in the Commerce Building have restricted hours.

Lab assistants are available in the LOFT to help you learn basic computer skills, to help you make sense of the software available, to help get your assignments printed. Times and availability of lab assistants are posted in the LOFT and on the IT homepage. Computer Services also have a student handbook pdf file which can be downloaded from their website.

The IT Service Desk is available during the week from 8:30-5:00, except on legal holidays:
