Background
Sussie joined the University of Canterbury after a stint at the University of Auckland. She teaches marketing strategy, entrepreneurship, advanced strategy and marketing management. Her research interests revolve around the interface between marketing and entrepreneurship, portfolio entrepreneurs, airline alliances and strategic marketing. In particular, she investigates various strategic approaches to corporate venturing, sustainability, internationalisation, branding, property and real estate decisions and country of origin effects. Her work is published in international journals and marketing textbooks. She has been involved in the hospitality industry, tourism and cultural affairs and the performing arts.
