The Move to ERP: Skellerupís Upgrade

Skellerup, a multinational rubber manufacturer is upgrading its Information System to an integrated, comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The projects described here assist this changeover by delivering two sets of documentation. The first set of documents detail all the processes of specified Functions within the Manufacturing Department. This ensures the inclusion of these processes in the vendor-developed ERP package. The second document details some of the major influences on ERP implementation success. This is to be used as a checklist, to ensure that Skellerupís detailed implementation plan includes these key influences. This report describes Skellerupís current IT situation, the project objectives, the documentation processes, and discusses the outcomes of the project.
